Supporting a Good Life
19th February in Clayton Hotel, Ballsbridge.
Event exploring “Supporting a Good Life” for those we love and care about. The evening included information on how this happens and stories from those experiencing a good life with support from St. Margaret’s. It also provided families with an opportunity to meet each other and develop wider connections. The event was facilitated by Kathleen Morris, SRV Practitioner.
Kathleen Morris, SRV Practitioner, has worked in a variety of roles and disability settings both in Ireland and the United States for over 20 years. Kathleen’s area of expertise includes planning towards living a good life, training and supporting staff and families, reflective practice, design and implementation of key processes and policy. Kathleen is also a member of International SRV Association, Irish Study Group 2 and the theory of practice of SRV continually influences her work on an ongoing basis.

OF BELONGING’ WORKSHOP

- St Margaret’s, St Joseph’s, Sunbeam House and Dara Community Living hosted David Pitonyak in May when he visited Ireland.
- David gave a full day workshop on The Importance of Belonging on Tuesday 8th May (see dimagine page15) and Toolbox for Change on Wednesday 9th May – reclaiming joy, purpose and commitment in the helping profession (see dimagine page31).
